We are thrilled to announce the release of our Festive Set Menu for the Christmas period, thoughtfully crafted by our Head Chef Michal, to highlight the finest British seasonal ingredients with a touch of Christmas magic.

Whether you're organising a Christmas work do, a festive family meal, or a celebration with friends, we are here to make it unforgettable.

We are welcoming guests for our Festive Set Menu in our Private Dining area, which seats a maximum of 24 guests, as well as in our restaurant for smaller groups.

Alternatively, smaller parties can book online for a festival meal from our A la Carte Menu in our restaurant.

Festivities at Lore of the Land will commence from the 19th November and conclude on the 22nd December. Our festive menu will be available from Tuesday to Saturday, culminating each week with our classic Sunday Roast, the best you'll find in London!

Terms & Conditions

General Terms and Conditions

All bookings are based on a first come, first served basis, and can only be guaranteed once we have received full payment of the Deposit. All Deposits are redeemable against your final bill.

If you any of your guests are found to be behaving inappropriately (Drug use, aggressive behaviour, etc) we reserve the right to cancel the remainder of your booking and remove all party members from the premises.

Please ensure your correct deposit is applied to your bill on the day, as any missed deposits can take up to two weeks to be repaid.

LOTL accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage to any items left in our premises. All items are left entirely at the owner’s risk.

Unfortunately, our restaurant and private dining room are not wheelchair accessible due to the structure of our building. For anyone who needs access to a disabled bathroom, please ask the bar for directions.

A discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to the bill (all of which goes to our lovely LOTL staff). Minimum spends do not include service charge.

Please note, due to our building fire policy, unfortunately live candles or tealights are not permitted anywhere in the building, including in the private room. LED candles are fine.

The LOTL reserves the right to retain deposit monies should there be any damage caused to fixtures and fittings by any member of the party.

Well-behaved Pets are welcome in the bar area, but not in the restaurant or private dining room.

We will not tolerate any abuse towards our staff. Anyone found to be in breach of this will be removed from the premises. We reserve the right to eject the remainder of the party if this occurs.

All timings pre-agreed for your bookings must be strictly adhered to. Any variations to food service times cannot be guaranteed, even if some of your guests have not arrived. All preorders will still be charged.

Upon leaving, please remind your entire group to be mindful that we are in residential neighbourhood and leave quietly.

Restaurant Booking - Festive Menu

For all bookings for Festive menu guests require a £25 per head deposit. All payments must be made 7 days in advance. The deposit will be taken off your bill at the end of your booking or we can refund to the card it was paid on when requested.

Upon paying your deposit, your date is set. We cannot guarantee that this date will be changed.

Please do keep us in the loop on any changes in numbers, regardless of how small, so we can do our best to accommodate. All bookings are finalized 5 days before the booking, and no changes can be made. We reserve the right to turn away any additional customers. If any of your guests do not turn up and we are not notified 5 days in advance, the deposit for this person will be retained.

We require a pre-order for groups of 8, from our Set a la Carte menu or our Feasting Menu. The pre-orders must be received 7 days before your event. Please notify us of any guest food allergies or dietary requirements when you submit the pre-orders. In the case of changes to pre-orders within 5 days of the booking, or any no shows, you will still be charged for the pre-ordered meals.

Please be aware that due to the busyness of our kitchen, we will not be able to change the agreed food service times within 5 days of the booking.

Please be advised that our menus are based on sustainable, fresh ingredients, which can change frequently in availability. If any ingredient is not available on the day, we reserve the right to change the offer to a similar product.

Typical largest group size possible is 12-14 guests maximum.

Festive Set Menu - Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon you can so we are able to make some room for other guests.  If you cancel your booking and are able to give more than 72 hours’ notice before your booking, then your deposit will be refunded in full.

If you cancel or attempt to reschedule your booking and are not able to give more than 72 hours’ notice before your booking for any reason, then your deposit will be retained in full.

Private Dining Room – For Festive dining

Pricing
All lunch bookings commence at 12:00 and must be finished by 16:30 and all Dinner bookings are from 18:00.

£1000 deposit for your booking which can be redeemed on the day via your ordered meals or drinks. You will have a minimum spend of £1500. If you want cocktails or a second server (must be requested in writing), the minimum spend will be increased to £2000.

All payments must be made 7 days in advance.

Upon paying your deposit, your date is set. We cannot guarantee that this date will be changed.

Any changes made must be done via email and will only be confirmed upon receipt of an email from one of our managers.

You can plug in your own music, but volumes are to be controlled by LOTL staff due to neighbour restrictions.

All music must be cut-off by 10:45PM and the room must be vacated by 11PM.

The windows must remain closed from 9PM. We do have Aircon or heating depending on the weather.

We require a pre-order for all sized groups ordering from our Festive set menu, and those who’d like to order form our Festive Set menu. We require pre-orders for all bookings in the Private Dining Room, and only our Festive Set menus is available for these groups.
